- 센게 모토마로의 시에 나타난 서민적 애환 ― 『나는 보았다(自分は見た)』의 잡지 미기고 시를 중심으로 ― -
본 연구는 센게 모토마로(千家元麿: 1888~1948)의 첫 번째 시집이자 대표작인 『나는 보았다(自分は見た)』(1918)의 잡지 미기고 시를 중심으로 지금껏 비판받아온 서민의 애환에 관한 진정성 없음에 대해 재차 살피고자 하였다. 그 결과 『시라카바(白樺)』 등의 문학잡지에 기고한 시들과 어느 잡지에도 기고하지 않았던 시들은 다소 다른 성향이었음을 알 수 있었다. 예를 들면 시라카바파의 문예사조를 지향했던 『시라카바』에 기고한것은 되도록 해당 잡지의 특징을 따라 이상과 약자를 보호하는 인도주의적 성향이었고 그럴 필요가 없었던 미기고 시들은 가족을 부양하고 가난한 삶을 벗어나고자 한 당시 본인의 모습인 서민적 애환이 숨김없이 나타나 있었다. 의도한 것은 아니었으나 결국 기고와 미기고 시라는 두 경로가 생긴 연유는 결혼 후 아이가 태어나면서 원고료를 받기위한 경제활동의 일환이었음을 짐작할 수 있었다. 그렇다면 적어도 첫 시집 『나는 보았다』에 나타난 센게의 의식은 과연 노블리스 오블리주를 실행하고자 한 시라카바파와 동질성을 띠고 있다고 할 수 있을까? 오히려 가난으로 인한 비애와 좌절을 노래한 이시카와다쿠보쿠(石川啄木)에 가깝지 않을까 한다.
Joys and Sorrows of Public in Senge Motomaro’s Poetry ─ Focusing on the unpublished Poetry of “I Saw(自分は見た)” ─
This study focuses on the unpublished poetry of Motomaro(千家元麿: 1888-1948), the first and representative work of 『I Saw』(1918), and I wanted to re-examine his poem which has been criticized for the lack of sincerity about the joys and sorrows of the common people. As a result of examining, it was found that poems written in Dongin magazine such as Shirakaba and Book of Love and poems not written in any magazine had different tendencies. In other words, the poems he wrote for Dongin magazine followed the tendencies of the magazine as much as possible, on the other hand the unpublished poems that did not have to follow the tendencies of the magazines show the real life of Senge Motomaro in poverty and his mental sorrow. Since there were two paths in his creation, it can be inferred that his artistic activities were economic activities to receive contributions after marriage and the birth of his first child. Therefore, can it be said that Sengue’s consciousness is homogeneous like Koji Musano and Takeo Arishima, who tried to practice Noblesse oblige? Rather, I think it would be close to Ishikawa Takuboku(石川啄木), who sang common people’s poverty, sorrow, anger, and frustration.
